We had a very fast passage from Tonga to Fiji, actually arriving over 24 hours faster than planned. I guess the new bottom paint works well! We had to sit out in Suva harbor for the better part of a Saturday and all day Sunday because checking in is really expensive on the weekend due to the overtime charges they add. It took all day Monday and a quick Tuesday morning trip to customs to complete the process. We then hit the market and purchased many fresh veggies. The market was amazing, selling everything from root veggies to citrus. The kava need for sevusevu ceremonies in the outer islands was up on the 1st floor. The market stalls were on the ground floor. After that, we left for Tavarua island to check out Cloudbreak and Restaurants, passing Frigates Passage and Beqa island surf spots. The surf was great. Looking forward to getting out there and reliving my earlier days here. Some pictures:
